A little about me...

Qualifications:
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and add to my knowledge base regularly by attending courses & conferences, and reading up on current themes.
Experience:
For over 25 years I have worked exclusively in the supportive professions providing mental health and drug and alcohol support within the NHS, voluntary organisations and charities. I have experience facilitating a women’s group and as a counsellor at a Women’s Centre.
In 2019 I started out in private practice and now offer both in-person and online therapy from a village on the Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire border, 2 minutes drive from the M1, j24a.
In 2024 I began offering supervision to qualified counsellors and trainees
I work in a body positive and trauma informed way; and am comfortable exploring the Black experience.

I am a qualified accredited professional counsellor registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. You can view my profile here.
I am registered with the UK Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA) & the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) and adhere to their professional and ethical standards.
I am a member of the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network.
